Description
Genegra® is an orally disintegrating strip solution with a mint flavor produced by Aavishkar for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Genegra® Oral Strips contain an active chemical called Sildenafil Citrate, which belongs to phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.
Sildenafil Citrate works by stimulating the production of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum when man is sexually aroused. Nitric oxide activates the lyase enzyme which is followed by increasing levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This cyclic nucleotide relaxes smooth muscles in blood vessels of the corpus cavernosum, increasing blood flow and thus causing a hard erection. Besides, Sildenafil Citrate was FDA-approved for the treatment of PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension).
Genegra® Oral Strips can be effective during 4 to 6 hours after administration.
Additionally, Genegra® Oral Strips prevent men from early ejaculation (premature ejaculation), thus significantly prolonging intercourse.
Genegra® Oral Strips does not protect you or your partner from sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) or from pregnancy.
Dosage
Genegra® Oral Strips should be taken orally 15 to 20 minutes before sexual intercourse.
You can use the strip before or after a meal.
Put one strip on your tongue and let it dissolve completely.
Do not take more than one strip per day.
The dose may be increased to two strips per day if individual tolerability is taken into account.
If you need a smaller dose, tear a strip into halves.
Missing a dose
Genegra® Oral Strips are used only when needed, therefore missed dosages are not relevant. Do not exceed the doctor's recommended dose. Do not take a double dose of Genegra® Oral Strips.
Overdose
If an overdose occurs and you are feeling unwell, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.

Do not use Genegra® Oral Strips if you take other medications to treat erectile dysfunction or pulmonary arterial hypertension, such as riociguat (Adempas).
Do not use Genegra® Oral Strips if you are taking erythromycin, alpha-blockers, ketoconazole, itraconazole (Sporanox or Nizoral), ritonavir (Norvir) or indinavir (Crixivan).
Do not consume alcohol while using Genegra® Oral Strips, as they can lower your blood pressure, causing dizziness and rapid heart rate (tachycardia).
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking the medication.
Contact you doctor or health care professional right away if your erection lasts longer than 4 hours or if it becomes painful.
Genegra® Oral Strips do not protect you or your partner from sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy.
